The Honeymoon - Maui

Iao Valley

On our last day in Maui we had some time to kill before heading to the airport. We drove to Iao Valley State Monument on the west half of Maui. It had some short trails to hike and a small landscaped garden area. Though the area was lush and beautiful, reminding us of Kauai, it has a history of bloody battles between the Hawaiians in the late 1700's.
