Kilauea Lighthouse

When we landed in Kauai we were greeted by warm humid air and the smells of a tropical land. We were driving to our resort on the main two lane highway where the speed limit never goes above 50. On the way, we stopped by the town of Kilauea and visited a lighthouse on the north shore. The lighthouse was on a cliff jutting out 200 feet above the surf. The area was also a wildlife refuge so we saw lots of birds hanging out. We also saw two large sea turtles far below us swimming in the surf.
