After sadly canceling our trip to Disneyland in April we finally were able to go two months later. Despite being hotter and more crowded it was a better trip. The shows and parades had finally come back and Pirates of the Caribbean, which had been closed for a few months, opened on our last day. Also both Vivian and Rachel's birthdays occurred during our stay which made it extra special.
We hadn't been to the new Galaxy's Edge land so we spent much of our time there. The new Rise of the Resistance ride was spectacular and despite having long lines we rode it twice. We also had fun in the Smugglers Run ride which allowed to whole family to participate in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. We also had exotic (and very expensive) drinks at Oga's Cantina. Overall the land was well done and a great place for a Star Wars fan to visit.
The rest of our time at Disneyland was spent riding on our favorite rides, seeing the characters and eating churros and Dole Whips. Also it had been a long time since we saw Fantasmic which was great. Unfortunately on our last day Vivian got sick (with COVID) and we had end a few hour early, but we were lucky it didn't earlier during our stay.
