This year I cut back on my bike month distance partially because I had overdone it during the past years and partially because I had more dad duties with Jamie working. I rode 1300 miles during the month which was still a lot of distance, but it was almost half what I did last year. As I was training for the hilly RAMROD in July, I put more effort into gaining elevation over distance. Weekend rides included a loop to the Black Diamond Bakery, a ride up and down the steep shorelines of South Seattle, a 120 mile ride looping Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish and a 135 mile extended Seven Hills of Kirkland ride.
