As a bonus we stopped at Great Basin National Park in Nevada on our way home from Zion. It's one of the most remote parks in the lower 48 states, yet it represents a basin that makes up most of Nevada and parts of the adjoining states. When we arrived most of the park was closed due to a recent forest fire. We still were able to find a nice camp site nestled among aspens and a small creek. We took a tour of Lehman Caves which was a new experience for Lily and Vivian, but the caves weren't as extensive as other caves we've visited. I had hoped to utilize the remoteness of the park to get views of the night sky. Unfortunately the sun rose only two hours after the moon set which resulted in too bright of a sky for ideal star gazing. Great Basin was a nice park, but not as amazing as the Utah parks we had just visited. If going to the park prepare for a long drive.
