Tolmie Peak Hike
With hiking season winding down Matt and I planned a trip to Eunice Lake with our oldest daughters. We started
at Mowich lake and hiked a few miles through the forest to Eunice Lake. The girls were doing great so we continued
on up to the summit of Tolmie Peak. The lookout on top was closed, but we got a chance to look inside to
see the furnishings and equipment. On a clear day the summit offers an impressive view of Mount Rainier, but
this day's overcast skies only gave us an occasional peak at the mountain. The girls didn't mind as they had
fun seeing the lakes and watching the wildlife. Matt and I were very pleased with how well the girls hiked and are
looking forward to more daddy daughter hikes in the future.
