Talapus Lake Hike


For our first hike of the summer we went to Talapus lake near Snoqualmie Pass. I didn't think we would complete the hike as we found out is was four miles round trip instead of the expected two miles . Much to my surprise the girls hiked all the way with no complaining. Lily was carried briefly, but more importantly her bug phobia was not to be found as she felt safe with a bug net I got her. The trail was nice, but the lake itself wasn't that impressive as we couldn't find any shore to stop at. With no shores and lots of brush it was difficult to get a complete view of the lake. It was good hike overall especially since the whole family enjoyed it.
