Mount Ellinor Hike
Julie and I were looking for a classic hike to do with a limited free weekend day I had and Mount Ellinor fit
the requirements. I had done this hike with Jamie 14 years ago, but it's a nice hike worth
repeating. We chose the longer 6 mile round trip route and were surprised that everyone else on the
trail had opted for the shorter 3 mile trip. We started in the forest, but near the end it opened
up to a beautiful traverse across the mountain with wildflowers and a great view of nearby
Lake Cushman. It was a bit crowded at top, but we each were able to get a moment on the true summit.
