Snowy December
It rarely snows in Seattle and if it does it usually melts away before the next day. This December
we had a week of freezing temperatures along with precipitation which made for lots
of snow. We accumulated nine inches of snow at our house and it lasted over a week. I can't
recall snow lasting this long in Seattle. Though
many were frustrated by the snow both Jamie and I were excited to have it. I was fortunate
to be working from home or on vacation so I didn't have to deal with any dicey commutes. We did
get to drive in the snow on a few occasions, but thanks to the trusty Forester it was more fun than
nerve-wracking. Rachel had a great time playing in the snow. She got introduced to sledding which
she loved.
