While visiting D.C. stayed in Alexandria Virginia where my Aunt Andrea and Uncle Paul live. Close by was George Washington's home
at Mount Vernon. We toured his estate and got to see where the first president lived, died and was buried. Rachel had great time
running around on the grounds.
After touring and visiting family we headed to Maryland with a detour through Shenandoah National Park. We
drove along Skyline Drive which follows a ridgeline of the Blue Rridge mountains. We missed the fall
colors by a couple of weeks, but it was still a pretty drive.
