After our walk through the Marais district we came upon Pompidou Center, Paris' museum of modern art. I actually prefer modern art over the Renaissance works at the Louvre, but I often question the skills and the sanity of the artists. On the other hand, Jamie would rather appreciate more classical art. The museum itself stands out among the Parisian architecture. The building is covered with large multicolored tubes and wires which makes quite a statement and possibly an eyesore. The inside of this unique museum houses works that range from interesting to bizarre to insane. Picasso, Warhol, Dali and Pollock were among some of the more famous artists whose works were on display. After all the modern art, Jamie was thrilled to find a photo display of photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson tucked in a corner section of the museum. After appreciating the art we went to the top of building to fill our minds back with reality. We also got some great views of the city, including the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur.

This way to modern art!
