On the second day of our road trip we hopped off of I-70 in Eastern
Utah and took a drive through Arches National Park. The park has the
greatest density of natural arches in the world. The red rock arches
were made from millions of years of erosion. Over 2,000 arches have bene
cataloged in the park. The largest, Landscape Arch, spans over 300 feet.
We saw the majority of the park from our car, but we also took a few
short hikes to get up close views of some of the more spectacular
formations. The night eventually set in and we had to drive a long, dark
and winding road back to I-70 so we could continue on to Colorado.
