On our way from La Spezia to Florence we jumped off the train to take a quick tour of the town of Pisa. About a mile from the station we found the famous tower along with a beautiful duomo and baptistery among emerald green grass. Though not as severe, the duomo and the baptistery also suffered the same gravitational flaw as the more famous tower. Though the lean in the tower was a sight to behold, the architecture was equally impressive. The tower truly is an artistic masterpiece. After a couple hours of admiration and a quick lunch, we were back on the train to Florence.
