The Short Life of a Cupcake


I captured the girls one night working together to eat a cupcake and posted the results on Facebook. I've included the complete saga here. The pictures are not staged. I just had to keep the girls off the cupcake initially to get things into focus.

A predator, who can smell sugar from 100 feet away, soon takes notice of the confectionery.

With only a concern for icing, the predator quickly strips the top off with her powerful tongue.

With its icing removed the predator leaves, but cupcake will not find peace. The scavenger soon arrives.

With no concern for manners the scavenger dives face first into the carcass.

Within a matter of minutes only a crumbled bit of paper and foil give any evidence that a humble cupcake once existed.
