Dege Peak Hike

For Lily's first summit we hiked to Dege Peak from Sunrise at Rainier. We had tried the hike in July and though the girls were ready for the hike poor Jamie could only go halfway due to an earlier bee sting which had swollen her foot. This time everyone was healthy and we had no problem making the almost two mile hike to the summit. Rachel did very good and hiked most of the way up on her own. We found the summit crowded, but there were great views of Rainier and the surrounding mountains. Overall it was a great hike for us and the children.
