England Trip - London Sights 1

After the London Eye we bid farewell to my brother and sister-in-law and toured the city on our own. I couldn't help first going to the Star Was exhibit just next to the Eye. It had all kinds of stuff to see from the movies, although the prequels were more prominent. I got to do some Jedi training and Rachel met up with Darth Vader. She stayed clear of the dark side of the force.

We next headed up to the Cafe in the Crypt near Trafalgar Square. The restaurant wasn't creepy at all. It felt more like an Ikea cafeteria than the underground burial chamber it really was.

After the crypt we went to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens for Rachel to run around. We were impressed by the Princess Diana Memorial Playground which was a large Peter Pan themed play area. We were kicked out (due to the playground closing) before Rachel was done so we then went to the nearby Natural History Museum. It was probably better than the museum in Washington D.C., but Rachel got scared by the animatronic dinosaurs.

One of Rachel's favorite things to do was ride the Tube. She loved holding on to pole like all the commuters. Although, she also liked to "be a monkey" while holding the crossbar from the backpack carrier.
