Whistler 2000 Ski Trips

Jamie and I were fortunate enough to go to Whistler twice in the 2000 season. The trips were only a week apart so we spent quite a bit of time traveling to Canada in a short period of time.

On the first trip we went up on a bus with my company for the weekend. Saturday we skied Whistler Mountain. The first picture is of Jamie at the Roundhouse station two-thirds the way up the mountain.

This next picture is of the same area as the previous one, but taken from Whistler Bowl near the top of the mountain. The runs at Blackcomb can be seen in the background.

This picture was taken as we were heading up a T-bar near the top of Blackcomb Mountain. It was very windy up there and we had to hike through the wind to the expansive Blackcomb Glacier run which goes on for six miles.

The next trip was during the week with my family. Since we had skipped the double diamond runs on our previous trip, I made it a goal to do at least one this trip. Bad weather prevented us from doing a double diamond run on the first two days, but on the last day I was able to get Julie and Jamie to go down the Pakalolo which can be seen in the last two photos.
